Michael C. Wright, President
Mr. Wright organized McKenzie/Wright Laboratories,
LLC in February 2000 and serves as the company’s President. He has been involved
in the agrochemical business for 22 years; 10 years in the contract laboratory
services area, 10 years as a registrant technical research manager and the last
two years as an independent consultant to the industry. He began his career
at ABC Laboratories in 1977 as a bench chemist. He later moved into a management
position where he supervised 27 professional and technical staff members in
multiple FIFRA projects. In 1988 he joined Elf Atochem overseeing all metabolism
studies and eventually became Group Leader of the Residue Chemistry Department.
Studies under his control included crop and animal metabolism, environmental
fate, and crop field residue studies. In 1999, Mr. Wright formed a consulting
firm, Wright Associates, which provided technical oversight of FIFRA studies.
As an expansion of this business, Mr. Wright formed McKenzie/Wright Laboratories LLC in 2000 and bought the FIFRA/FDA portions of McKenzie Laboratories business so that not only could he provide technical oversight of programs but could also exercise closer control of the analytical services associated with those programs. In 2002, the facility was moved to Texas so that Mr. Wright could oversee the daily operations, and to cut overhead costs. With this move, McKenzie/Wright Laboratories is able to provide analytical services at competitive pricing.
Jeannie Wright, Vice President
Ms. Wright began her analytical chemistry career in 1984 at ABC Laboratories,
as a technician involved in residue chemistry studies. She was later promoted
to Analyst running environmental fate studies such as soil metabolism and hydrolysis
studies. In 1989 she began working for Elf Atochem as an Environmental Fate
Chemist in charge of field dissipation, worker exposure and dislodgeable foliar
residue studies. She later moved to the Quality Control/Product Chemistry department
where she aided in the effort to become compliant with Good Laboratory Practice
Standards. In 1999 she joined Mr. Wright in forming a consulting firm, Wright
Associates, which provides technical oversight of FIFRA studies. In 2000 she
became a partner in McKenzie/Wright Laboratories, LLC, and along with her fellow
owners is committed to provided superior quality analytical services. Since 2000, Ms Wright has taken the role of Quality Assurance Manager. With her years of experience at the bench and her understanding of the chemistry and regulations, she works diligently to ensure that the facilities and studies are in compliance with EPA/OECD regulations and guidelines and the data is of the highest quality.
